  1. I'm a bank angler. I have nothing against live scope, electronics. I just enjoy being outdoors and having a chance to land a few nice bass every so often. My question is will technology develop lures that navigate their way into a fish's mouth? Elon Musk, are you reading this!

  2. OK… everyone is entitled to their own opinion but these anti livecopers take it TOO far livescope is not ruining the sport for you. You can fish the bank and the old fashioned way all you want and can still catch fish. 🤦🏼‍♂️😂

  3. Its just another tool, that has a learning curve, that helps you find fish (Doesn't help you catch them) just like all the fishing electronics of the past. I'll get it when I can afford it. And I'll keep catching them without it.

  4. None of these sound like real problems with the livescope. It sounds like more of an experience using the livescope. You could experience all the same problems with the regular sonar.

  5. i have 3 monitors on my kayak, one for livescope, one for 360, and one for sidescan/downscan. none of that has ever helped me win any tournament. its just a tool and the quicker people learn to accept that the better off everyone will be.

  6. I’m glad they introduced livescope into the mix, now everytime I can’t catch any fish while everyone else is I just blame it on livescope and not the fact that I missed 10/10 hooksets 😂

  7. Tyler, it's good to see you coming closer to the realization that technology like Live Scope is the detriment of the essence of fishing. As I've said before, it's about instinct and experience to catch fish. Now, I know where you stand with tech and fishing so I respect your stance. But thanks for making this video and being honest about Forward Facing Sonar.

  8. I’m pretty sure most people who hate on live scope are mostly just expressing the fact that they would also like a 50-60,000+ dollar bass boat with live scope, at least that’s what I would like to have 😭

  9. Sophisticated electronics have spoiled this hobby. When it comes to big money tournaments, it's no longer about genuine knowledge and skills it's now about money from the sponsors who make these products. Give me the knowledge from seasoned veterans who did it in a fair way.

  10. I think a lot of the points you make apply to basic bass fishing. It's easy to get a bite on whatever you're tossing, not know what's biting it, but lock in on that lure and location for an hour or two, not catching any fish.

Also, I've never used livescope, but have used basic fishfinding sonar. It's a tool, and there's nothing wrong with using it. As you point out, it's when you crutch on it that it can get in your way. But if you combine the information from your sonar with your knowledge, you're guaranteed to catch more fish.

  11. Great info!..but for me it's the cost, and the uncertainty of if the Livescope would work at all on the bayou areas I fish, which tend to be mud or grass bottoms. Typically less than 15' deep on the edges of marsh grass.

  12. Hey Tyler, awesome vid. I definitely think livescope gives the angler a very niche advantage. Personally, I don’t enjoy watching pro anglers in tourneys use it but that is a personal preference. I think randy blauket said it best when he said it’s like a putter in gold that does all your put calculations for you and all you have to do is decide to putt. Maybe I’m wrong on that but that is kinda what it looks to me. But other than personal preference, there is one big thing I am not a fan of livescope for. I think if this tech is continued to be used it may have a negative effect on the big breeder stock in lakes and could potentially really affect genetics of bass to come. Historically the biggest fish in lakes could hide very effectively from anglers out deep. Now that is much harder with livescope and they could be abused and not have the survival rates tagt they used to. Especially fish brought up from really deep may have a hard time getting back down to the bottom if not an impossible time due to pressure. You see it in saltwater fishing all the time that a fish died due to an unhealthy release from being caught off bottom in really deep water. I am not sure how it all will play out and I hope to be proven wrong but that is my fear.

  13. To me tournament fishermen should not be able to use sonar of any kind while in the tournament, I see it as cheating, if they are truely that good at catching bass they have no need of it while in the tournament. I don't own a boat, I fish from the bank using only what I know when fishing. Just my thoughts on the live scope and other sonar during tournaments.

  14. The problem is tournaments using livescope. "Pros" should fish with their senses and knowledge not staring at a screen the entire time. The technology is fine and not going anywhere and like you mentioned, doesn't instantly make you catch fish. Tournaments should allow all electronics including livescope only on practice days where people can mark their locations and spots they want to fish the days of the tournament but no livescope or 360 should be allowed. Fish finder is the only thing you can have.

  15. I'll watch it and save the video, but I won't need it until "I need it," lol half the time I see you guys using fish finders, I have no idea what the heck you're looking at in the first place. It would have to be something that like you had to do, and learn it over time. Right now I don't own a boat or even a kayak, so just walking around with it on the bank, doesn't sound like it would be that great of an idea. I've seen a few apps they have for phones, but I think they're just more or less data, not sonar. I could be wrong, but that's all I know.

  16. From a guy who doesn't have livescope, I feel like lots of people over hype livescope. I am sure it is useful in the right situations but I don't know if it's worth the money. I guess it just depends on how you want to catch fish. Amazing content as always Tyler!
