  1. I know people like Tranx reels but for now I'm going with a Piscifun Torrent 2 in the 200 size,I know people might think they are just cheap reels but I have Shimano and Lew's but i really like Piscifun and the Tranx has a 13 lbs drag but the Piscifun has 20lbs and its $50 very smooth reel, now I'm not saying don't go buy the Shimano Tranx but if you can't afford an expensive reel right now the Torrent 2 is a good choice until you save enough to buy an expensive one, and at least it will get you on the water but after you use it you might change your mind!

  2. Absolutely chalked full of awesome information especially the baits Billy touched on. Looked up budget Swimbaits and starter combos. This particular video of yours really helped out! I was thinking of getting a heavy dobins for my bigger 200 baits around. Thanks for the information

  3. Great video bro I learned a lot, I'm just getting started and already bought 8 glide baits, S Waver 168 Shine Glide 178 and 13 Fishing Glidesdale so I don't have to get special gear but I'm excited

  4. I guess bass will eat about any kind of glidebait like a trout even if there is no trout in the lake, anything that fits in their mouth and looks alive! When is the last time anyone has seen a wild buzzbait or spoon running around in your local lake?

  5. I like your honesty I canโ€™t afford expensive swim baits nice to know thereโ€™s some affordable swim baits out there. I still need to find a nice rod and reel

  6. Sixgill is another rod you may want to look into. The "Brute" series comes in 3 weight throwing ranges and they are $169 and have a lifetime warranty. To make it even sweeter, they have Bogo sales several times a year, bringing the rod cost down to only $85 each. They also make reels, but do not have any reels suitable for swimbaits though. Just a bargain FYI.

  7. Big baits like these do well at night. I fish a gin clear pond ( old rock quarry) with big bass and shad in it. Hard fishing unless it is really overcast. But first hour of dark is great with big baits.

  8. Iโ€™ve been subscribed to you for a few years. I have the bell notifications on. Yet You tube doesnโ€™t notify me wen you post a video. Iโ€™ve unsubscribed and re-subscribed and hit bell notifications again. Nothing fixes this problem. Do you have any ideas?

  9. The 4โ€ phantom glide bait is also a really good bait for bass. I use it for musky and pike and often pick up bass on it definitely a confidence lure for me

  10. I love this series! What is the name of the color on that Shine Glide? I can't seem to find it on Tackle Warehouse, and I really want to pick one up in that purple iridescent color. Thank you Matt and Billy!
