The Bass at Mosquito Creek were MUNCHING this lure! (BKFT #4)

The 4th stop of the year for the Buckeye Kayak Fishing Trail brings us to Northwest Ohio home to the grassy lake of Mosquito Creek. I was able to get one day of pre-fishing in before the tournament, which helped out a ton with solidifying what the bass were keying in on. The grass edges played a huge role in catching these fish with a simple wacky rig. Enjoy the video, everyone!

  1. Normal Friday night… relaxing and watching the newest Creek Crawler awesome video… ordering couple packs of Nikko Leeches (dawn and eclipse). … Normal Friday night.

The hole in that bass lip was from another angler trying to weight the fish and stab it's bottom lip instead of using grippers. Watching the Bassmasters Elite series, the angler was going off when he caught one just like that.

  2. Lotta guys said their fish lockjawed from practice likely due to the wind change and algae bloom. That probably helped your finesse bite! Great strategy to swap up the spinning gear for baitcaster, lost a few this week myself from not catching up to them.
