  1. Right now, double willow spinner baits are the only thing the bigger bass really want at my lake. In Firetiger! Of course, it also has to be a Terminator. Ive also been doing phenomenal on the Bacca Burrito last week, in "Who Dat". Been fishing every day the past four weeks, and I expect to fish everyday for the next four weeks, at the very least. I wonder if it has anything to do with So Cal lakes being man made reservoirs?

  2. The other day, I did well with spy baits in severely pressured water on a weekend with lots of boat traffic in my lakes marina. Yes, I'm talking about Southern California. it's strange how methods from So Cal work great everywhere else, but methods common outside of So Cal don't do well in So Cal. Aron Martens was a So Cal Native. I'm sure he would have agreed.

  3. Randy you are so full of crap. Here in Oklahoma we are attaching feathered treble hooks to roadkill armadillo tails and slaying out there. Bass love them trolled while you're up on plane. Amazing tactic to sures around laydowns and in the thickest of cover.

  4. Spinnerbait #1 in August…at night. But not twin willow that you held up. Instead big single Colorado in dark color skirt and blade. Signed…the stick and hook guy.

  5. Come to the PNW on a cloudy windy day in August, I'll be chucking a spinnerbait. That might be the case down south but the northern bass are more aggressive than their southern cousins and they like to chase down baitfish. We won't always agree but love your Channel. Keep poking those live scopers 👀. LOL.🎣

  6. NJ small pond fishing in the summer 3 things: 10.5 inch Plum colored olMonster worm, a frog and a dark sleeper…..we have a lot of weeds in our waters….

  7. Yyyyyyy I believe Harry 'N' Charley's favorite August lure was a spinnerbait with blades the size of hub caps. Course they was fishing at night cause of the 115 daydres heat during the day.

  8. Randy love your content and support your stand against FFS and against developers however I will say being a Florida resident I’ve been slamming largemouth on squarebills and chatterbaits and now I’m up in northern Michigan slamming smallies on top water lures and deep divers.

  9. Here in Ohio, Sycamore tree sticks with old, gold plated #8 trebles are the ticket. Works extra good if you can find one in the shape of a River Pickle 😉 Love these worst lure videos. A fresh point of view on the vast topic of lure category selection. Please keep in the rotation.

  10. Fishing in the North East is a lot different than mid south reservoirs. Our Large Mouth mostly live in shallow vegetation and if the water isn’t frozen there’s not a bad time to fish a Spinnerbait. As far as Tidal Waters Spinnerbaits are always good. Night fishing is also a great time to throw a Spinnerbait.

  11. Rebel WeeR, I like that bait , good bait though ; great video , I agree also , august is dead to me too , but it won’t be long now and I’m going fishing next month middle to end of that month

  12. One of my biggest pet peeves is southern pros and youtubers talking about northern smallies. Every single natural lake around me in central Minnesota only has largemouth. The only smallmouth fishery around is the river and Mille Lacs. I think they get this way because they only fish the "destination" lakes that do have smallies, which is a small percentage of northern lakes, at least in my area in Minnesota.
