  1. As a pro angler boat official I agree 100% with Randy on these 3. I also see Yamamoto 5 inch senko ( honestly nearly 100% use it and take the wacky rig out of box after take off), Yamamoto zako as chatter bait trailer, small Keitech swim bait, damiki armor shad minnow, and a robo worm (drop shot). In the small mouth lakes you add the small Berkeley flat worm.

  2. Lake Fork observation: anglers were catching fish “sight fishing beds” which makes it sound like scoping is not involved. Actually entailed both sight fishing & scoping them. So likely you’re gonna hear proponents of livescope say “almost all fish were caught sight fishing without livescope” When actually they scoped & counted first, then caught sight fishing afterwards. Would’ve been harder to tell that there’s 6 or 8 fish on a bank without it. They don’t count it as live scoping if it’s only used to find them, but not to get the bite 😂 the denial is insane.

  3. I am if the belief that in bass fishing the most popular baits are the ones that most people use; therefore perpetuating the false belief that those lures are the best. They only catch more bass because most bass fishermen I know follow the popular trends like sheep following a shepherd

  4. I always have a vision 110 and jackhammer ready to go. I don't like the magdraft though. I don't like the treble on the bottom. It seems to end up in gills way too often.

  5. One thing thats not talked about enough and would 100% be another one is wood cranks. Especially cold water tournament, especially those flat sided cranks come into play. I think the Frittside is good but it will never even come close to a flat side wooden bait imo. Maybe younger anglers don’t have them but I know for sure the older guys all have them. I’m only 26 saying this but had the luxury of growing up around my Dad and a great lure maker who taught me a couple years to do it before he passed away recently. Not knocking plastic lures but nothing will compare to a balsa crank for me personally.

  6. I am going to agree with your rants….just looked at Pro’s fishing bedding bass at Toledo Bend! Eliminate bed fishing first…then get rid of FFS during official tourney days…not practice! If both can’t be done! No more permits for any tourneys! Eliminate the sport!

  7. This is one reason I really like Matt Stefan. He’s sponsored by Berkeley, but is always talking and using different companies lures. I respect his opinion tremendously.

  8. The problem with Megabass is cost. Their baits are not so much better than other comparable jerk baits and swim baits to justify the average fisherman spending $25 for a jerkbait. I will put the 6th Sense Provoke jerkbait against the 110 any day. I will put the 6th Sense Crush Flat 75 against Megabass flat side lure all day long and twice on Sunday. I’m not saying Megabass lures don’t catch fish. I’m saying they are simply way overpriced and equally as good and in some cases, better lures are on the market at 1/2 the cost with just as good quantity. I would love to buy a Megabass fishing rod, but they are just too expensive and there are other brands that are as good or better on the market for alot less money. Honestly, Megabass doesn’t seem to care about the average fisherman cost wise, and that’s a shame.

  9. Randy, for the longest time I didn’t watch you because we have different opinions on a lot of things, but I’ve been watching you a lot recently. Keep up the good stuff man.
