Yep, nothing like a warm spring day. I've also had good pre-spawn top-water action in the shallows when the water temperature is in the upper 50s in Michigan. Tons of fun!
Not up north
Water temps on Lake Norman just now pushing over 60. We had 3 weeks of below freezing nights up until last week. Should start warming up now.
Good tip once again. Keep it coming!
fish for fun no electromics and i never take photos ir post anything i catch release repeat. those guys who talk on phone and keep bass out of the water too long need a dunkin
100??? I’m lucky if I can catch 5 fish, not even bass lol
The limit is 5 then your done impact on bass with all this catching is killing our potential to improve
I like my fish like I like my women big and dumb
Randy, great post.
Any chance you could give some tips for the northern brothers in Wisconsin, Dakota and Minnesota areas?
My guess is our water temps are currently around 40 to 50 degrees, and some northern lakes haven't fully shed their ice yet.
Missouri probably has significantly different conditions in early Springtime.
Thanks!
Oh well … the dreaded “ … unless you’re way south …” comment again … lol. Here in florida the spawn is basically over
These are the videos that made me subscribe to this channel…not the ones complaining about random stuff or advancements in technology
Why catch that many? If I catch 5-10 I’ve had my fun and I leave. Please stop beating down the fish. Maybe fish other species can b april
Great
✅ 29 thanks
Another great and instructive video, thanks! I think it would be helpful to mention water temps as well as months. I’m pretty sure that April where you’re at is equivalent May to early June in Chicago, where I fish.
It's been a while since I've had a 100+ day on the water. I think it's the pressure on the bass and knowledge of the anglers on the waters. But since COVID, I can no longer cruise down the banks I use to. The shear number of bank fisherman blows my mind. AND the number of boats that want to race me to a spot. Yeah, I'm all for share'n the water but it's getting difficult. But still I'm happy with what I get. Hopefully things will get back to some sort of normal soon.
Thanks Randy. 👍 we used the shakey head last month at Guntersville and cough 8 spotted Bass. Works great.
Curious as to why you're not fishing the Toyota Series on Lake Dardanelle that starts today?
Great idea for a video, April is amazing when u hit it right
