BIG Swimbaits work all Summer long! Don’t give up! Here is what you need to know to be successful during the warm months. From wake baits to glide baits, to softbaits, we break down our most consistent options for big bait fishing.
Traditionally, swimbait fishing has been treated as a Winter technique. Over the years its developed into a 3-season technique but the reality is you can successfully target BIG bass all year long with a swimbait.

You two crack me up! Great vid!
Tim you don't get a chance to talk, do you! Lol… Love you guys! y'all both great anglers, keep up the great work. Please come to Virginia and do some videos at Philpot Lake.
Damn Matt, maybe you should have done the video by yourself…
I prefer to call you guys Tim Allen
We need a summer swimbait guide for 2022!! Lol
Which of the dobyns rods would you use for the beast hook baits?
These guys are golden
Tim looks baked
How big of a leader do you guys use on on your fluoro/mono connection to the braid ?
Would you not use a reel with a lesser gear ratio instead of 7:1?
That Johnny Rat is $170 ….!!!!!! Holy hell!
Wait for it, wait for it……..oh never mind, they didn't hook themselves due to careless handling…
they didn't discontinue the evergreens
I keep being unsubscribed!!! Love your guys vids! I've learned so much watching… seriously keep up the great work guys!!! You rock
Do you prefer the gigantarel or the gantarel ?
Tim did Matt fart at the begging of the vid?
MS Slammer winter time big girls 👍🎣
God bless spread his word!
The BBZ-1 8" Original Floater is to SwimBaits like "Caddie Shack" is to golf movies.
What's the best mass produced big Swimbait on the market? "The BBZ-1 Original Floater."
What's the worst mass produced big SwimBait on the market? "The BBZ-1 Sinking Version(s)"
And only the big one possesses that big drawing power. (Same with the rat)
Numerous scientific Swimbait studies have repeatedly proven this to be fact. (IMHO)
You guys make such a great team…love watching
No Magdraft? I figured you guys would’ve been huge fans of that bait
love your videos as always! wish you would have had your buddy talk little more and explain his point of views and opinions. great video though and always excited and appreciate the info.
Perhaps you covered it but what knot do you use to connect the braid to your mono/Floro? Thank you
That nd is 💰 caught a 6 pounder on a hot summer night this past summer while people couldn't even a get s bit on worm
Have you guys used the River2Sea bottom walker shad? I bought a pack recently to try out and quickly found out they're not a good cold water bait. They look great though and might be ok in the warmer months.
Matt, can you do a video on the Loomis rod, I'm in the market for a swimbait/glidebait rod an been pondering the 966… Much Thanks!
Jay and Silent Bob 🤣
Dobyns Fury 795 or 806 for huddleston 68?
I learn something different from each video its amazing
What rod do you like throwing the 9" slammer on?
@TacticalBassin have you guys ever fished Castaic Lake?
I got excited…thought that was a Jackal Mikey on the thumbnail. I did a review on the Jackal Mikey jr, which I think is a sleeper lure. By the way love you guys, I did a review on your recommendation on the LV-500, and now we're inseparable!
What's your take on the money Mino I used use those all the time caught huge bass on them and no it seems to have dropped off
I like when you fellas sync up on describing the action @ 2:35 ^_^ .. Thanks for all time/effort you both put in. I can't tell you how many times I've watched one of your videos after a tough day and realized I was doing something completely wrong.
Vanna needs to shave her legs!!
I actually challenge you two to go to Bloomington Illinois and actually catch a bass on a 8 or 10 inch huddleston and get back to me
Opinion on the 5inch rubber laser eye shad? I've been knocking down 4-5lb large mouth with it.
Guys, great content as usual. I'm just getting started in the swimbait game. I'm wondering the length of rod I should be using. I invested in a 9" slammer and want to really get that going, but need some guidance. Your links to the gear are amazing and super helpful, but am wondering a good all around length on the rods. Thanks for being my first stop on MWF for new videos that have stepped my game WAY up this season. Cheers.
Hi, catching this video a little late. The Evergreen bait is expensive. Check out the 'Machinegun' on the Bobbie bait web site. It is sold as a muskie bait but it is identical. Price is $25. If you want to order you will need to email. Thanks.
Before I fish my hudd I’d love for a video of what knot y’all tie fishing for y’alls braid to mono leaders on these big Swimbaits
I was wondering what the clear red box with the swimbaits is sold at
What hooks and split rings are good replacements on the bull shad
The BBZ-1 works great at very slow speeds too! Actually Bill Siemantel (who created this lure) uses it very slowly most of the time, with some twitches from time to time, specially near key spots so it does a directional change. He fishes it at the slowest possible speed that the bait will still swim.
What baits do You prefer to catch big largemouth bass in ponds?
Damn that’s a lot of swimbaits lol
I was wondering how would, some of those wake baits, work at night? I fish a night tournament and was looking to try something different, any ideas ?
hey matt, do you ever have issue with the power handle on the tranx disengaging back on a hard cast? ive had more than 5 times snapping off my swimbaits with it.
