  1. Old school lizard secret the lizard is two lures in one I would tell you but you don't want to have anything to do us Old school people that know what they are doing

  2. I don't know why but I think I like the june bug color better than the fish. The color and the way it handles is a bunch of fun. I use the same exact color on a Texas rig as you are. I haven't caught any Bass that small yet. It's all been big mouth bass and at least 3 lb and up . Definitely my favorite soft rig. I haven't tried the Pumpkin yet.

  3. Late March to mid April is a period called PRE-spawn. All the small males are gonna be near the shoreline protecting the nest while the big lunker females will be roaming. That’s why he kept gnabbing small ones by the shore. When it’s pre-spawn cast AWAY from shore if you want a lunker. During spawn, it’s actually a lot harder to fish because the fish don’t typically feed as much. So when it’s spawn, cast to the grass BY the shore and get the lure right by them; you might trick em into biting if you get your lure close enough. You’re welcome 😌

  4. I like weightless and like the red color cherry and red plum and between zoom and culprit don’t forget one of the old school colors that are really good tequila sunrise and one color they got by zoom is old school color clear red with black core it use to be called blood line colors they came in blue and black red and black and chartuse with red core and purple purple June bug chartuse tail and grape with powder blue tail and chartuse pepper and pumpkin with a blue tail and here is a good tip for you go to the salmon department they have these small action disc you put on your line that will make that lizard wiggle like a crank bait

  5. Came across this video trying to find out how to rig a lizard just a pack a green watermelon from Walmart maybe I should've went with the June bug heading out to the lake again Sunday I lost at least 10 things today due to braided line lost two Bass as well first one was at least 3-4lbs was using 15lb braided line by Spider Wire picking up some 20 test monofilament line. Problem is I don't think I am going to get good casts with 20lb line braided line I got nice long casts

  6. Really like the content. Watched most of your videos and subbed to your channel. Started using the zoom lizards this spring, weightless rig like you. I was really impressed with it. I live in wa state. This lake by my house is heavily pressured. Everyone throws sencos and they work pretty good. I was getting better quality fish once I started throwing the lizard!

  7. Lizards have always work great for me, specially as a reaction bait! Great Video, always learning from ya! Thanks again! Hope not crossing any boundaries but what part of Fla. you from?

  8. Another student of Bamabass! Great vid. I started using this technique last year and quickly learned to love it. Your hook suggestions are great; too often I see people suggest using 5/0, 6/0 hooks on 8" lizards and worms but the truth is that bass usually eat long, slender baits head-first. A smaller, lighter wire hook will give you much better hookup ratios!

Also, as far as the bite being light, I think you have to look at a weightless lizard the same way you would a senko. Without a weight on the line (which is what can give you that "thump" ) you really just have to watch your line and always slowly load your rod when you start to retrieve so you don't accidentally rip the bait out of a bass's mouth whose bite you didn't feel. You actually demonstrated just how to do this in your video but didn't talk about it, just wanted to point that out!

  9. In wv I get a lot of hell for throwing lizards. Now til late summer it's the best. My tip is keep throwing it in the "generic" high percentage places (where you think the bass should be) weightless and they'll eventually react. I've thrown in the same area for 30 minutes and have caught giants.

  10. A good day of bass fishing and bonus fiver. I rig the hook the same only have a small weight and Texas rigged.
I use to fish with live lizards that I caught while sunning themselves on the rocks. I will get hate comments if I did that now.

  11. Keep fishing that Junebug color Texas Rigged and you’ll land some nice ones, it’s a good summer presentation too!!! Just put it on a spinning setup with out the bullet weight! Especially in Florida. I wear them out around Ocala and Lady Lake every summer!
