Rust De Winter Junk Fishing For Bass In Tournament (Leg 2)

This bass fishing tournament was help at Rust De Winter. This is leg 2 of our competition fishing this year.

This is our second bass fishing tournament this year. James and I got a really early start to this days bass fishing competition. Got the boat in the water ready to catch some fish. 7 o’clock hit and we were off to catch some Bass at Rust De Winter

First spot at Rust De Winter was a deep drop we found on google maps and it looked great, James threw a texas rig and I threw a jerk bait to start off the day. First couple of bass came on a jerk bait which is made by 6th sense, the color is a wabi sabi color.

We moved from spot to spot at Rust De Winter throwing all kinds of lures. We ended up in the river punching lures like craws and paddle tail swim baits. There where many fry in the water and targeting this seemed like the right thing to do. As the day at Rust De winter went by we lost all hope in this days fishing, we were tired and out of energy. We had been up and down the dam throwing lures like drop shots to jerk baits and just not finding a good paten. We were junk fish the bank and Junk fishing deeper water.

We ended up in the river catching a pretty decent size bass of about 1 kg in size which was our kicker fish for the day. Hours went by and we decided to go back to our original spot to try and catch another decent fish. James in the end caught another decent fish right at the end of the day about 10 minutes to weigh in.

The day was tough and we ended up with a bag of 2,64 we ended up 23th on the day.
