  1. I wonder if it’s the position of the weight on the lure, then the action of lifting and self fishing as it drops. It is probably dropping in between the gullies and rocks, just where the bass was waiting to catch an unwary meal. I find most of my fish near the bottom, and on the drop, often just under your feet. Good for adapting on the day your tactics and it paid off. The water looked good and presentation paid off.

  2. Nice video again mate! Quite a good concept to almost review your session, don't think I have seen many do that, but its quite helpful to see the workings 🙂
I love fishing open coast marks like the one you fished and have learnt through trial and error that those little paddle tail jig heads are brilliant at certain times. The one thing that I think makes a huge difference is the weight of the jig head. I think I found that if I could get the weight just right versus the amount of swell, the lure would be able to hang a lot longer, I knew it was working when I did nothing with the reel and nothing with the rod, I could feel the lure kicking, when a wave came through, If I went to light, it would just get washed around in the surface, if I went too heavy I would only feel the kick when I moved the rod or reeled the lure.
I have no idea what the lure is but looks similar to a savage gear sand eel, which is what I would be using but with several non savage gear jig heads in different weights to find the sweet spot! Well done on getting the fish and great pod cast!
