I fished for 3 hrs on Saturday with live worms & got 1 bite. Today I throw a Texas rig & catch a pickerel in 5 minutes lol. Gotta love NJ winters.
Always remember this.. "A bad day of fishing is always better than a good day at work. " That's a fact .
What kind of fish can I expect to find in the deep silty black water creek that feeds into lake Lenape. Would you expect to find catfish in these creeks?
I’d bring battery powered hedge trimmers to cut those thorny bushes down especially if you go there often….
Those thorns are also known as Greenbriar. I think they're about half as bad as the invasive Multiflora rose.
I'll take the thorns over greenheads any day. Those bites are worse 2 and 3 days later and can last a week. Thorns are only temporary.
New sub hear, fish creeks only l love it use two pound test on ultra light tackle and micro baits Tom’s River areas. 😊😎
keep that reel singin brother
Might try for trout in a local stream soon, this winter is really getting to me. I got so tired of having thorns chew up my legs when fishing streams & creeks; now I carry a pair of garden pruners in my pocket and make a thorn fee trail for myself, only adds a few more minutes to the hike but much more comfortable.
Tried trout fishing today in CT, got skunked. All that snow melt really changed the water. Its clear as ever though!
Gotta bring a little 2’ zebco rod for those tree-choked creeks!
Im bettin a raptor(hawk) took a,swipe at it
Any port in a storm !
Greenheads over thorns lol idk about that😅
