Kayak Bass Fishing in the Sam Houston National Forest on Lake Conroe in Texas.
“Lake Conroe Frog Fishing,” documents a kayak bass fishing trip on Lake Conroe in the Sam Houston National Forest, Texas (2:17). The angler, Tony from VentureTube, decides to go “old school” without a motor, batteries, or fish finders, relying solely on his kayak and fishing rod (2:24-2:29).
He spends time setting up his kayak (2:37-3:50) and prepares to fish, primarily using a buzz frog lure (4:05-4:07). Despite planning to stay in a specific cove (4:41-4:44), he encounters difficulties with boat traffic (4:51-4:57) and a lack of fish activity (8:10-8:13).
Tony manages to catch one skinny bass on his frog lure, noting that the frog still works even without its legs (6:03-7:10). After a prolonged period without further bites, he attempts to switch to crappie fishing gear but is unsuccessful (8:21-8:30).
Due to the heat, lack of breeze, and poor bite, he decides to head back to his truck for a break (8:43-8:50). Ultimately, he concludes the fishing trip, acknowledging the struggle and the single catch (9:38-9:46). Despite the slow fishing, he emphasizes that the trip was enjoyable for the peaceful time on the water, highlighting that fishing isn’t always about catching fish (10:00-10:34).

I’m surprised any fish would be willing to bite a frog on lake Conroe there usually pretty smart lol but I suppose more so in very pressured areas on the bank
is that on 248
Gotta get something winter camping in that spot
Loved the verses at the beginning, nice pick! Can't always rip the lips, at least it wasn't a skunk…lol! It's a beautiful spot!
