I'm really looking forward to your video of your recent trip on the Island. I'm not going to be fishing it as much this year as in years past (as I really got addicted to that Smallie bite last year) but it's still some of my favorite to WATCH on YouTube as it's where my kayak fishing adventure started.

I was there yesterday and only caught two dinks and missed another. I’m waiting for the big ones to bite. I missed a 4lber because my line wrapped around loose steel leader. My luck there has been cursed lol
Have you ever fished trout lake it’s inside of island lake recreation area anyways Great Lake to fish but you have to walk about half mile to get to the lake but there’s high spots in the center of the lake with great drop offs and great light weeds fish love it almost like submerged islands really great fishing killed it with rattle traps and Gary Yamamoto’s 6 inch worms
@BassSlayerOutdoors great video I’ve caught some big bass in that lake but it’s such a big body of water it’s tough to track them down sometimes I’ve had pretty good luck under the freeway or out away a from the freeway it’s gravel bottom there small mouth like it
