  1. as disclaimer and full disclosure, I too am member and subscriber to Matt Stefan's you tube. they are 3 for 6.49. I used the hover rig this weekend on a no vegetation lake… clear to about 6 or 7 feet deep. It glided; it spiraled; it even dropped straight down for a foot or so, then started to glide. 10# braid with 7# leader; 7 foot, Medium, Fast with KVD 300 spinning reel. 3/64 size. Other than to get the shakey head itch out of my hand, I fished this for about 5 hours out of the 8 hours I fished this weekend. First thing I did was cut off the weed guard. I don't have good hook up ratio with weed guards on Neko hooks or wacky hooks, so I just went ahead and cut them off. I used various worms and even a baby rage craw. went through quite a few worms until I figured out the amount of pull it took and the distance from the tip of worm to get the nose of the rig into the head of the worm. skip it once by accident and it was not pretty but that was user error. I do have some 1/8 oz but did not use them. I will be next time out. one of these will be tied on every time I go to the water. @mattstefanfishing

  2. That does skip really nice. I saw that posted the other day and had not watched it yet, so I appreciate you putting this one together!. Thank you. I am huge fan of a tube so I will definitely have to give that a try if it works similar.

  3. Lowbrow, excellent review on the Hover Rig!! Nice to see someone else's review even though Matt did an excellent job as well. Glad we had the opportunity to get them and will be looking forward into using it soon. Stay Safe & God Bless!!

  4. Seems similar to a tube rig and also similar to the old SLIDER ( can't remember the anglers name who these were designed by sorry) jigs, only the ones I use currently ( there are several designs) the weight is just behind the eye but that's not at a 69 or 90 it's online to the EWG style "work" hook… Looks legit, gunna hafta try it
