You will never get me to believe that as competitive as Van Dam was that he never broke these rules.
I'm believing someone has a personal ax to grind with Scott and or his family and it may be his fault( I'm not sure on that note), but it just seems intensely personal to me

I guess my question would be, how much of the conversation did the protestor engage in. If he participated in the conversation, then protested, he would then be considered a rat bastard, in my opinion. I worked in a professional career for 30 years. They told the employees, "if you see something or hear something that violated policy, then say something." But we were mature enough and considerate enough to one another, that when those conversations started, we shut it down swiftly. That act protected our selves and the person that started the conversation. And protect all with in hearing distance from having to "say something". The protestor could have stopped the conversation once realized which direction it was going and saved everyone involved. Everything i just said is pure assumption. I can't possibly know the whole story.
This comment section is dumb as hell. How is everyone mad that we don't know who protested, but nobody is mad that an angler broke the rules? Just because you know his name and you like his Dad doesnt mean he didn't cheat.
Your dry hate towards Scott Martin is obvious, Bassmaster, will become a target, no save them. MFL has the only secure format at this point. But when FLW went away all the anglers had to choose a format, Everyone knows Brian Latimer video says it best, every angler looks for an angle, how before these rules, and ffs existed pros had connections hired locals to prefish, and hire guides, with that said fishing never had integrity because dock talk and lying about where you caught them or what you used is part of the game. Scott with survive and achieve more in his career just hope Bassmaster can as well.

Someone stretched the rules to cover what Scott did. Also someone is stretching the untruth to to the officials intentionally against Scott Martin. There is way more to this story I like Scott Martin but I've also heard him think his shit don't stink and him and his family's background make me think that because of his name that he gets an out of jail free card. Mb in wrong just my opinion.
BASS is a corporate company. Its their perogative to protect themselves and to sweep anything that can make them look bad, under the carpet. They are a company and they are their to make money, while using the sales pitch that they are there for the betterment of the sport. They are just selling their product.
This whole SM thing is a mess and unfortunately there are no winners or losers here, just losers.
The sport has come to a tipping point, much like the world right now. Best thing to now is batten down the hatches and just wait out the storm.
Is the no info rule effective right when the schedule has been released? Scott said in his video he solicited info 7 months ago. He withdrew so time to move on. It's unfortunate. I will still follow his youtube channel.

Yeah but the info Scott talked about wasn’t in the actual “fishing zone” but similar areas and how they set up. Plus it was well outside the time window. I’m with Scott on this one. I’d withdraw too after being treated like this by BASS

Crazy this same thing 20 years ago wouldnt even have got scott penalized. These rules and regulation need to be revised. Even if scott did get info that shit woudnt have helped him that much. That person could have been lying to him also or misleading him its all hear say. Some info isnt going to give u anymore advantage then being able to see bass anywhere with ur 20k+ sonar setup. Its his local lake

Whenever a protest is made, I believe the protesting angler should be revealed in these situations. Right now, any angler can make a protest, legit or not and soil someone else’s reputation, while being protected. That’s BS. This isn’t trying to help solve a murder, this is a persons career. Both names on these situations should be put out there rather than just the accused.
