Gear linked below. I made the trip to Bridgeton Indiana for the larger covered bridge festival. This is a pretty awesome festival that we’ve hit 3 years in a row with my wife working as a vendor. There’s always great food and some awesome friends that are fellow vendor and this time I brought a fishing rod along. I’ve seen fish in this creek each time I’ve come and was able to bring a rod and make some casts between our busy periods. Big Raccoon Creek is a beautiful creek and I saw some big smallmouth and huge carp in it. All the fish I caught were cold but they all hit moving baits as I was throwing Twelve Oaks Custom Lures BFS crankbait on my Yakrods Y-BFS rod! Next year I’ll bring the right shoes to wade down the creek and I’ll get into a lot more fish.

That smallie was a beast! LOL. I think of covered bridges, I think Vermont. That one was pretty cool. I could use a Pretzel Wagon about now. Fishing the creek sure beats dealing with the crowds, though its always fun to have an audience while unhooking a fish like that.
Sheesh man, those creeks and stuff you guys have up there are gorgeous. That bridge reminds me of one we walked through in Tn when we visited lol.
That’s cool, I grew up close a covered bridge that was over 100 years old.
It's been 15 years or more since I was there last.
Looks like the festival is huge now.
Sometimes you have to ruin your shoes. 🤣
Looks like some nice smallies there.
Congrats on your first spotted bass.
My only way knowing for sure it's a spot is that small tooth patch on there tongue.
Thanks for taking us along!
I fished a section of Big Raccoon last year. A different creek, but has some nice fish. Nice video. Like all the support from the onlookers.
My wife was also set up in Bridgeton next to the chainsaw carver. I fish Bridgeton and Mansfield quite a bit
I haven’t been to that since I was a kid I’d like to go back
