I was watching a video where Casey was fishing with Justin and he put a flush on a chatterbait…. I thought to myself

That first day fish was a beast, I caught one last year 5" taller than a home depot 7 gallon bucket. Didn't have a scale so I can only guess that he was about 5-6 lbs. Great way to start the year.

You are a wee bit early to fish a bait like that and to fish that fast. It may not work but if i had been there i would have used the slowest swim jig i could dig out of the pile of baits using a pearl color or the closest one you have that matches a shad in your area. Keep it close to the cypress trees but not right up on them. Who knows, it may not work, but i would sure love to give it a try.

Nice big bass
First fish looked like a female getting ready to spawn. That's the thing with February and MArch, the bigguns could be spawning females. Could be a ton of fishy mommas in that lake. Breeding season will put the fish off, we have the same issue here in the UK with the carp and other silvers. They are simply too busy making babies.
Problem is, you're missing your best good luck charm…the Jaybird.

You should try a crankbait in those conditions. That red eye shad by 6th Sense has been killing them on other channels.

Hey Cole! Enjoyed the episode, only been watching ya'll for a couple of weeks now, but feel like i have known you all your life Lol. People have just loved on ya'll like something i have never seen before, especially since baby C has been showing up. I hope Jay is doing well and can't wait till the baby gets here. I still can't believe all the baby stuff people have given ya'll, it's amazingly heart warming.
