These are my top tips on how to fish a finesse swimbait to catch big smallmouth bass! Finesse swimbaits are one of the best ways to catch smallmouth bass in cold water situations!

I have a question. I have a Bass Nation tournament going out of portage river Lake Erie. with the options of fishing Erie The Detroit river and Saint Clair. I already have an Ohio and Michigan license do I also need a Canada Ontario license too. But from what I understand there is an outdoor license and also a fishing license that I have to have in Canada. If I do need it how do I go about getting it.
Those megabass heads are tricky, if you use too heavy of a swimbait they dont run true or if the swimbait is just slightly misaligned but when i throw a 3" spark shad 💲💲💸💵
Love swimbaits! Hopefully you're able to go fishing sometime soon!
Idea: On clear water, grass/sand bottom. Marked fish in 6-14’. Suspended and close to bottom. Fish are stubborn and not eating jerkbait, crankbait, swimbait or dropshot. Could you do a problem solving thought process?
Do you ever fish an underspin?
I seem to remember that you didn't like the hookup ratio with the Dark Sleeper (which essentially is a finesse swimbait), have you resolved that or just removed it from your current arsenal?
Great contact keep it coming. Side note who makes that hoodie I need to get one! Maybe another video idea could be rain/ cold and warm weather gear or clothing.
I think skinny water tip video would be cool.
Great video! Keep up the good work
I finally had the time to watch this whole video last night. The commute from my couch to my kitchen is getting crazy. In fact, there was a two-cat pile up yesterday that delayed my arrival. It was pretty serious too; the black one rolled over, and the grey one was leaking gas.
As always awesome vid and info my man…. Your a beast bro, very good to watch and learn from Mr. Ben!!! Tight lines my man stay safe…
Maybe try putting the links in the description for the baits and Jigs your using/talking about. Thanks Benjamin great vid !
When you are working a ledge, contour, or drop-off how are you positioned? Are you retrieving from deep to shallow? Shallow to deep? Or are you positioned where you can strafe the contours and work angles rather that a head on approach? Bust out the white board! Another great video thank you for the thorough information.
hope I get back up north to fish the smallmouth this year keep these vids coming love them.
Best video so far!
Great video I can’t wait to get back on the water here in Michigan keep up the good work
Are those Costa with Sunrise silver mirror lens?
Personally, I would like to see you do some creek fishing for smallies. I don’t have access to big lakes with giant smallies, only small creeks with mid sized smallies
how bout a video on the biggest baits u throw and when u throw them
When you are fishing along the bottom given the SunGill color a try. It is a great perch imitation. My PB and top 3 all from that color.
That’s was awsome!!👍🏽 but I want you to talk about how to use 110 on and how and what color in differ conditions
I wanna go fishing out of my Skeeter…🥴
Well done Ben. Great topic. Great insight on how to fish this application. Hoping to get out this weekend.
Been my go to so far this spring
Thank you so much for this video! Really needed it!
Hey Ben, I have no idea if you can help or have any experience of this yourself. But would you know some ideas on how to keep mice out of my boat? I don't have the space at my own house, I been keeping my boat in my grandpa's garage past 2 years, i've been told keeping those scented dryer sheets all over your boat keeps mice away, i've done that the first year i had my boat during winter storage, this most previous time I was given some advise of leaving bars of soap around the inside of my boat, and i also entirely covered the back end of my boat with thick plastic sheeting, duct taping the sheeting to my boat cover halfway to the motor and to the underside, I had it sealed solid airtight, so i thought, few weeks ago i took it out of storage, removed the plastic sheeting, and then i noticed the soap bars were eaten pretty good, and mice droppings, it is a complete mystery to me how mice would have even gotten inside, I also duct taped the boat cover at the edge of the boat in case they could have climbed the side and in between the cover and the boat, if i had the space at my own house i definitely would keep it here
Thoughts on the Megabass dark sleeper?
welp this ones getting a like before I even watch. I was literally thinking about this today while fishing. damn mind reader this guy.
Love these bait breakdowns . No matter how much you have fished or researched something someone else always has a different take on it in some aspect. Hope all is well with you and the family . Snowed again today but supposed to get back into the 50s this weekend. Work tomorrow then hope to fish all day Sunday .
Like the Finnese episodes that Hook2 9 triple shot is supposed to be here tomorrow got all my Yakattack and Ram mounts are here she will be ready by next weekend 😊👍🐟
Can you do a topwater video??? When, where, best gear etc
Excellent Ben. What are your thoughts on using a belly-weighted hook on the swims?
