How To Fish a Micro NED RIG for Big Bluegill & Bass (UltraLight)

Interested in how to fish a micro Ned Rig for Big bluegill and bass? Ultralight fishing with a tiny ned rig can be fun and rewarding! I am using a 1.5 gram jig head and a small piece f plastic worm. This easy fishing rig is catching the biggest bluegill I have seen in a long time! It’s even catching largemouth bass. This thing is irresistible! The hook is a size eight and I am fishing it on my Shakespeare Micro ultralight spinning combo. I don’t get this excited over bluegill very often, so you know they are big. Try a micro ned rig on an ultralight and see if you can catch beautiful; bluegill like these! #fishing #bassfishing

  1. Great job Alex! I love catching big gills on BG-1's! One of the ways I fish them is exactly the way you did here! I have also used the tail of a worm with good success. If you want to try something a little different, get a Moondog Bait CO. Dragonfly Larva on the end of a BG-1. I've been hitting some pretty nice gills on that this past week in a pond over here in NC. Same way you're fishing here. Blessings!

  2. The colors and size of those bull Bluegills were amazing, that combo is making a name for itself, especially when using those BG-1's jigs. You just prove that creativity in presentation pays off, great work buddy.

  3. Bluegills lb for lb fight more than any freshwater fish. Favorite fish to catch and the best tasting fish out there. Those were some Tanks.
