Fishing the Jackall Gantarel Swimbait in Texas – Cast to Catch

Welcome to a special look on the water while we chase Big Bass Dreams – Texas Dreamin’

This was the first day fishing the Jackall Gantarel shortly when it came onto the market in early 2015. An early spring day with largemouth bass and a guadalupe bass up shallow was a perfect setup for this bluegill imitating lure. We all know bass love to eat bluegill and or love to hate them enough to crush them. A fun day fishing in the heart of the city in Central Texas with a bonus Texas state fish to go with the largemouth!

  1. Fantastic video! I ordered the Gantarel in regular and Jr along with a Cashion Elite 7’11’ Heavy Swimbait Rod to pair with a Lews Super Duty 300 that I already have. Last year I caught multiple bass over 7 pounds with the largest being 9 pounds 12 ounces on jigs. This year I want to add swimbaits to my list of techniques. Here in Georgia I have access to several private reservoirs and ponds with the largest reservoir being 260+ acres. All my life I have chased the dream of catching a truly giant bass, and now I have the waters to do it on. 2. A nice vacation would be fishing that lake a few mornings and hooking up with a ride from Mellow Johnnys shop one evening. Nice town. Been wanting to try that lake.
    Nice video. Capt Mike

  3. Love your updates but that beat after the firs Intro song is dominating the focus. Lower it a bit and let's here about what your using and doing. Keep up the great work man learning a lot from you guys.

  4. Oliver what is your setup for fishing this bait? And what other bluegill imitators do you like? Yesterday I was looking at the Gantrel wondering if it’s a bait worthy of trying in my area.
