In Wisconsin we call this the figure 8 for musky. Fish are fish a lot of people fit them all in their own box. There's differences to capitalize on but at the end of the day big fish eat little fish.

What rods do they use to fish those Balams?
I've seen northern US folks do the same for muskie. Also a variant has been used in the southern US forever. It is called jigger pole fishing.
Isnt it a basic technique for pike fishing in the states?
