Fisherman harassed me while bass fishing || I lost my cool (Was I Wrong!?!?)
If they were trolling down the bank and you passed them then planned on getting in front of them,fishing the water they planned on fishing.That was not cool.I wouldn't do what you did.Disrespectful on your part.My opinion.

He is probably just a cantankerous old part time employed Walmart greeter. Sometimes it’s better not to give them the satisfaction of the argument and ruin your day of fishing. Saying that though is sometimes easier said than done. Another thing is you have to be careful (especially in Texas) because isn’t it legal to conceal carry? Now that (right or wrong) could absolutely ruin a good day of fishing.

Your mistake was admitting any kind of fault, and then asking him what you should do.
With his personality type just telling him how it was gonna be, then carrying out your declared behavior while ignoring everything he did after that (don't even look at him or acknowledge he exists) would've completely diffused the situation.
