That's so right about little fish making you get a hook in your hand. You worry about hurting them. Meanwhile they get tangled in your line or hooked twice, flipping around in the air. A hook sticks you and you bleed, while the baby fish happily swims away!

Are you only showing the target species, i.e., smallmouth bass? Because I am surprised that you aren't catching more largemouth bass at the same time. Do the waters in your area predominantly hold smallmouth?

What net do you use in your Yak?
I grew up fishing the crazy crawler top water style lures with the side flaps in upstate NY through the mid 80s and all through the 90s. It was a rival to the OG Jitterbug by Arbogast but was just as effective when it worked properly on the retrieve. Would love to see you do some side by side comparisons of different style lures. In this video per say you could have done half with the bumble bee and half with the Jitterbug and then do another video of them both again at the same place at a later time and date to compare. Things I used to do when i was a kid in boyscouts lol

Have several of the other sizes and have caught a lot of bass on them and several big ones. I also own probably the best looking one custom painted ever seen for night time.
Lakes in the metro are open now…just a matter of time before my yak and boat come out.
