With pre-spawn bass fishing right around the corner, I thought I would share some secrets about my favorite pre-spawn structure, road beds! In this video, I explain what a road bed is, what they look like on your fish finder / fishing electronics, and how to identify the sweet spots that hold big largemouth bass in the spring time. Hope you enjoy!

great info!!
Really incredible
Such a fire video. I struggle to fish offshore, your videos increase my confidence tenfold.
Great video Johnny , l would like to see one on winter road bed fishing
Love all your video's but noticed you don't talk about settings for finding fish 455 /800 or mega
Great video Johnny! The detail you give is spot on… I’ve had several instances now where I’m able to identify what I’m seeing on my graph because of the tips you’re sharing. Helps out a ton!! Thanks bud, keep up the great content, TIGHT LINES!!
Just an FYI those gaps you referred to as bridges are more likely to be drive ways have several on one lake I fish, one still has gate posts standing and other 2 have foundations up the drive.
Non USA. Here are many lakes, with trees and underwater bridges.
For safety when dams are low, boaters tie plastic bottles to bridge pylons and tree tops.
When the water level rises these bottles can be 10-40ft down.
I got fooled (with lowrance hds-7 fish reveal ON) that one bridge pylon had fish at the top of the pylon. Realised after futile casting, that these were bottles not fish.
This, I guess must happen in other places.
Any thoughts?
Great stuff as usual….
Been bass fishing over 40 years and must say I have a lot to learn. Thank you for providing your professional experiences in such great detail. You have a gift and have put in a lot of work providing anglers knowledge to become better fishermen. Thank you
When you are graphing a road bed looking for fish with down scan, what is the best technique? Running parallel with the road or zig zagging it? My current fish finder doesn’t have side scan.
You have a gift and its amazing of you to share it with everyone the way you do!
Great video, it was very helpful how you incorporated the side scan images into the video. This video showed me I'm missing a lot. Very helpful, thank you.
You are awesome thank you so much!
U think that the bass will setup on a road bed thats not always under water. We have one that connects to an island that is only underwater in winter and spring then comes up above the water as summer goes along and water drops. So they obviously cant always live there.
Great images
Awesome stuff Johnny thanks for sharing. Your offshore knowledge is unbelievable. Keep it coming
Nice Jonny. Keep this great info coming.
Hey man what is the name of the app that you use to view the lakes in the past years? I am trying to use google earth but I do not see all the buttons that you had on yours. Thanks for any info and help.
Fish the Moment THANKS SO MUCH for all your teachings!!! I had taken your advice on many things and got out of my comfort zone. Now, not only I have become a better Bass fisherman I have also gained a lot of knowledge about this species of fish. Your recommendations have proven to work for me. I have even jumped and created a YOUTUBE CHANNEL to video myself, experiences and follow my progress as a Bass Angler. I recently developed my Channel Trailer. Please check it out and provide me with some constructive feedback.
I learn so much from you. Thanks a million for the videos!
Outstanding, as usual. Thank you
Thanks for the tips, I mostly pound the bank. Im what you call new to the bass fishing game.
Outstanding! Thank you! Especially with down imaging since I don't have side imaging!! Great Job!!!
