  1. Just picked up an ultralight combo today at Walmart, it rang up at $7. Will be nice to finally be able to cast properly with my ultralight tackle.

  2. Gotta do more ultra light vids, love ulta lights for pond hopping but I wouldn't use those super cheap combos for anything more than a backup or travel setup, 6' ultalights with good 6lb mono or 10-15lb braid and 1/16oz or 1/8oz jigs makes for a fun day

  3. I use a 6 6 barley ultra light rod and reel with 4 pound test line . I use it for catfish croppy and iny thing else . in creeks pounds rivers . and caught some helllashes size fish. And I love it

  4. People Fr gotta know the difference between an ultralight rod and a kids rod, kids rods are nigh-indestructible but have horrible sensitivity and power, whereas ultralights are finesse style rods and should be handled by more experienced fishermen since they’re susceptible to breaking if you load them up, but even then some ultralights can surprise you with the size of fish they can pull in, I catch a ton of 2 pound bass on a 30$ ultralight from okuma and it’s never failed me.

P.S to rephrase what I said about the kids rods, generally the rod itself is sturdy but the reels and handles are made of cheap plastic.

  5. Y'all kinda putting down a lot of people in this VDO..All I use is UltraLight 2-4lb test..for everything….the exception cat fish and stripers I use med poles with 12lb test..in bigger water I use 20lb test for stripers

  6. Bro ultra lights are the best. They never break, you feel everything, just throw 20 pound braid on n you can throw almost any weight lure and catch any size fish. I actively use ultralight setups for big carp and cats
