Went out to Lake Bastrop on a windy morning and caught some post spawners protecting young fry. The bite was solid all morning and we got a few keepers. All fish were caught and released. I couldn’t get a topwater or jig bite going and switched to a senko which they decided to munch on all day.

Its not only that they're spawned out, they are starving. Bastrop has lots of bass. No monster bass it needs to be managed. Way over populated with bass, big head skinny body fish is not a good sign.
Is the main grass hydrilla?
Was this north or south shore?
In the process of buying a house by lake Bastrop north side. Guess this will turn into my main lake. Right now we fish decker a lot. Subbed.
Looks like a fun day of fishing. Its always nice to catch big fish, not necessary to have fun. Im a catch and release fisherman anyway.
Wow
New sub Jared! Friendly Texas here from South Padre!

Just got off the phone with Linda and Joe. Joe told me to watch your videos. I really enjoyed it. Being quarantined it felt great to feel like I was out on the lake!
Hell yeah guys! Good stuff. Subbed, throw a sub back our way if ya can! Can't wait till our bass season opens up. Tight lines.
