Duck Creek Conservation Area Bass Fishing Summer 2021 Lesser Known Series

I took a short trip to Duck Creek Conservation Area near Puxico Missouri with my fishing dog Finley. Summer fishing on Duck Creek can be tough but we managed to catch a few. In this Lesser Known Series video I break down some of the best baits for catching bass on Duck Creek in the summer.

  1. Love duck creek! Its about 2 hrs away but one of my favorite places to fish. I have found that before a big storm is the best bite time. I love the grass and pads unlike my buddies I take there. My Pb with a scale is 5lbs check out on my Instagram @adrionclark wish I lived closer. Bank fisher only for now. Keep up the great videos hope to see u on the water some day.

  2. Wow!! Has that place got it all or what?? That looks like it needs LARGEMOUTH Crossing signs put up!! Problem is,, TOO MUCH GRASS!! In that stuff,, I generally boat about half of bites or LESS!! Its a bowl of Bass fishing, AND LITS OF VEGIES!! By the way,, My New Plastics WORKED!! We got second last night. Had boat trouble,, still got a limit plus the bigfish. Couldn't travel more than 1 mile from ramp. This bait is gonna be killer! Any and everywhere with Bigfish on cover, ledges,, targetable etc.. I caught a 5.7. Lost another heavy fish in a tree just at dusk. Cant wait till Fri!! You Guys always show some beautiful water!! I miss being around some good Northerns. You too like a Jig with a few strands of blue, or Purple. Pumpkin Purple is one of my favs!! Thx for all guys!!!👍!!

  3. Gave. Nice report. I have not fished duck creek in years but it’s definitely different. Enjoy your reports on the little known lakes.
You turned me on to Pyramid lakes. Tnx.

  4. Way to stick it out even after the reports you received before getting on the water! As always, another great video! I think you need to get your co-angler a fishing pole 😁

  5. Gabe, your description of Duck Creek suggests it is one of those places where time of year and weather are everything. I've been avoiding shallow, weedy or paddy places that were actually very good in early spring/cold water because getting around is nigh impossible. Looked like a really nice Red Ear you had there so panfishing could be good. As for chain pickerel… yuk. Thankfully we don't have those toothy critters as most folks say the are slimy and nasty. Hi to Finley and have a great week, Don
