  1. How deep do smallmouth really go? Or more so whats the deepest you have ever caught them? I know thats a super broad question lol but I live in east Canada and some of the lakes around me are 100+ft and I just wonder how deep will they really go in the heat of the summer and dead of the winter. Thanks!

  2. Awesome Ben! Wow that is a bite that smallmouth dreams are made of! HAHA And to catch a fish with your squarebill from the other day is absolutely insane but it tells you a lot about how strong, aggressive, and hungry these palegic fish get in the fall transition. We hit the same lake from last week and my 16 year son finally caught a smallie which was 20 inches long and 3.2 pounds! Had 2 muskie follow my lures but never committed. It was a super tough day as the shallow bite was gone as the weeds turned over so fast. Last week they were still a beautiful thick green and yesterday they were gone and brown on this lake. Hopefully I can get out a couple more times and hit the big water of Lake Simcoe to hopefully get a bite like yours before winterizing and storing my boat for the season.

  3. Now that’s cool getting your crank bait back 🙌🏻 I can’t wait to come up north soon ! We were coming this weekend of the 7th but the wind looks nasty so it’s going to be the one after that hopefully

  4. That was so awesome to see you get your crankbait back on the same big fish that broke you off last time you we’re out- so cool! 👍🏻😊
So glad to see you out with your best buddy Dertz(sp?) so he could also experience some of the same big fun you had last time by yourself.
Btw- Crankbaits and near misses give me the cringes of all the bad possibilities!
    😢😵
