Does this RIG live up to the HYPE? HOVER Hook Test

There has been a ton of hype with bait and lure rigging for forward facing sonar especially with the Hover Rig. Gambler’s new FF Series Hover Hook makes setting up a Hover Rig pretty simple with no need for a nail weight. We test this bait to see if it catches bass as well as many anglers say.

  1. Copies are to be expected, what isn't is having this guy act like he's come across something new as if this isn't the same demographics that have already seen the Hover Rig by Core Tackle.

  2. Nice Video Mike , To Everyone That Thinks This Is Something New , It’s Not. I Know Guys To This Day That Wrap Wire Around The Body Of The Hook (Hover Rig) and Still Catch As Many Fish As This New Updated Version.

  3. Settle down folks. It’s not a big deal that gambler made their version. It’s like every other product you buy, everyone’s got their own version which is great. Gives us choices. It’s called capitalism

  4. Boy this one is getting some discussions going. Dont care Mikey, always fun to watch! Bogs was just chill'in too. Good to see him back in the boat. Tightlines brotha!

  5. This is a Core Tackle rip from Matt Stefan’s design. Why in the heck does this industry rip off everything just to steal a little market share. Would be better to say this came from that idea but here are some changes

  6. Take a jig hook and insert it into your elaztech fluke. Poke a hole through the bait side to side. Insert a dumbbell weight, tungsten or lead, through the hole. The elaztech holds the weight. Superglue if needed. No expensive hooks. Let's you use tungsten. More compact and shows better on your FFS. Done.

  7. Talk to Matt stefan… not sure your guy who said he's been working on developing the hover bait… Stefan as far as I know months ago helped develope the hover bait
Go to Matt Stefan fishing…. bad vide here all of a sudden

  8. A copy of Core Tackle’s Hover Rig, lol that didn’t take long, as soon as somebody makes something new these days other companies knock it off and make their version of it

  9. At least it's not nearly identical, like the Nessie is to the Flag. Gambler's version is different in design but it essentially does the same thing the same way. However, Core Tackle's original design has yet to obtain a utility patent.
