Catching A Big bass on topwater at lake garcia.. Got to love topwater eats
This is my second time fishing this lake so still learning it but this was a super fun day on the water!!!

That Bass was so big I could smell it.
We have this Salmon species that got stuck behind a dam. It closed a river that flowed into the St-Lawrence near where I live. They call those fresh-water salmons "Ouananiche" ( It's Innu/Montagnais territory).
It's like fishing super-trout. There was a moratorium for a few years, but the population is back up. It's a Region just North of Quebec city called "Lac St-Jean"… If you EVER feel like taking the best fishing trip of your life, this is the place. The lake itself is also filled with pikes and black&yellow bass (we call those "Doré" in French.) And we even dig holes in the ice to fish in winter, with small, portable heated shacks.
It's about 5 hours by car North of the US border. And there are supposed to be 5 girls for every guy in that rural area. I was born there, and I figure 3 to 1 is the real ratio. Still good.
