BREAKING NEWS! Professional Bass Angler SAVES Young Men In Kayaks

Professional bass fishing angler, John Soukup, rescued and saved 3 young men on kayaks that were in distress during his Bassmaster Elite Series event on Lake Champlain recently. John noticed two young men waving him down and he stopped his tournament and went to see what was happening. John noticed that the two boys in kayaks were actually three young men in kayaks with one kayak flipping over. John came to the rescue of the boys and helped get them to safety.

  1. Impressed that he was aware and helped. We all should. This year I’ve helped a pro angler who ran out of gas on Haines Creek, towed a boat with a bad battery and drove our boat close enough so my son could use a fire extinguisher to put out a boat fire after gas tank exploded while others just watched. Those fire extinguishers are very important. I’m on the water a lot.

  2. Kayak fishing is a fun variation but I always wear a life jacket. Too easy to make a mistake and get in trouble. That said, boaters get in distress quite often too and even I’ve needed a tow or given assistance to other boaters and kayakers before. It happens to everyone eventually if you spend enough time on the water, but hopefully when it does it won’t be a life or death situation.
