Sometimes you got to get back to your roots and fish the place that you got started at. I actually caught my first largemouth bass ever at Busse Woods, and I’ll probably still be catching bass there for years to come. I hope you guys enjoy! #bassfishing #fishing #summerfishing

Dude that’s just nuts! Best Busse vid I’ve seen. Nice fishing!
Very nice. I noticed you had a gas motor on your boat. I'm pretty sure you will get a ticket for that at busse just for having it on your boat. Not being a dick. Just letting you know. You had a good day out there. Busse can be tough.
I've had some great days on Forest Preserve lakes, some can produce great. Yesterday I hit the Fox River in my kayak, never fished it before. Caught 7 smallmouth which isn't bad for first time in a body of water. But the strangest thing happened on my 3rd or 4th cast. I got a bad wind knot and reeled in so the knot was between the reel and first eye, and began working on the knot my lure still in the water. After a minute or so the line suddenly snapped tight, holy crap fish hit a lure just sitting still. And it was a very big fish and I couldn't play it because I was working on the knot. My rod bent and my line snapped so loud I first thought the rod had broke. The fish left a gigantic disturbance in the water. I have no idea what it was but pretty sure it wasn't a smallmouth, way too big. It had to be either a flathead or a musky.
