The water is cold, the bait is schooled up, and bass are looking for a big meal without having to exert much energy to get it. FLW Tour pro, Josh Douglas, has the bite dialed in this time of year using two of his favorite cold weather baits to get BIG bites. The paddle tail swimbait and big jig and craw trailer combination has proven to be the ticket for getting those giant cold water bass to bite. In this video, Josh breaks down everything you need to know about fishing these baits during this time of year.

A swimbait is never wrong.
I love using the Biospawn ExoSwim in either Electric Shad or Lab Magic, I usually put it on a ⅜ oz swimbait hook with the screw keeper and I fish mostly farm ponds but I'll target grass lines or semi submerged tree limbs. With living in Louisiana I don't have to worry about ice but these cold fronts are coming every few days so it might be 65-70 one day and 50 the next so I try to fish right before the cold front. Awesome video
Nice video, very informative. I’ve been having a hard time catching fish in the cold
Awesome video, winter is definitely all about that slow presentation.
Douglas is gonna have a big year in 2019. Look out FLW.
Great catch and nice video. Things are slow here too and you are right… got slow the presentation down. Yesterday doing that same thing I caught a 3lb. trout.
Nice catch
