You are absolutely correct on bass getting to use to top water baits
On the lake closest to my home (walking distance) it sees a lot of pressure especially top water pressure because its weed choked and one evening while I was working a 5.25" Zoom Super Fluke I saw bass starting to bust minnows on the surface everywhere along the shore
I tossed first a spook type bait then a chugg bug but caught only one bass then I went back to fishing my weedless fluke and despite I could clearly see bass busting minnows on the surface everywhere now none hit my fluke worked like a jerk bait I then had a big bass bust the surface not 25 yards from me by a very large fallen tree I clearly saw was over 5lbs I reeled in my fluke as fast as my 5.5:1 reel could and BAM my fluke got hit like if by a fully loaded cement truck and landed and released a bass easily went over 4lbs then it occurred to me start working my fluke fast just below the surface like a fleeing bait fish and in the next 3 hours till I lost all light I caught 11 more bass including tying my PB for that lake a 5lb+ bass
Again I must commend you on producing great helpful content
Great video Hank
I just discovered soft plastic flukes rigged weedless and worked as a jerk bait next to heavy emergent and over submergent vegetation and are catching bass like never before on soft plastics
I will be using your link to order a sizable amount of those flukes as they look awesome.
Great very educational content
Great video Hank. Kudos to Mike for the underwater work. Hundo in the house
I noticed that long tail immediately, it definitely stands out! Question about spinning gear. Will back reeling keep line twist? #100percentwatchsquad
Hey Hank, I always take a fluke out with me. Gotta be one of the best follow up baits of all time!!! #100percentwatchsquad 👊
That action is crazy. I have got to try some of those. Bet Missouri Smallies will kill em. Thanks for posting
I did well today throwing a 5-inch Bass Assassin Shad, Northern Minnow. #100percentwatchsquad

I agree 💯% about the anti reverse that's just plain stupid on their part. I will not buy it if it does not have an anti-reverse switch. One of the executives probably thought it was a good idea so they could save 15 or 25 cents
The BR fish with the BR jigheads probably would have slayed em. I’ve been destroying the striper with them on my home lake.
#100percentwatchsquad
Thanks Hank for another 🔥 video as always keep up the amazing content
lol! I was hoping the news about removing the anti reverse was just a rumor. so disappointing.
Love my flukes this time of year.. Can't beat em when the bass are schooling and busting bait.. #100watchsquad
Xzone has the best plastic on the market in my opinion. Super soft like hand pours, while more durable than hand poured baits.
Hey Hank, that bait looks awesome! Thank you again for the info! #100percentwatchsquad
Love a soft jerk bait. Can't wait to get some of those whiplash shads. Xzone makes some great baits Hank. #100percentwatchsquad
I’ve been catching them on the soft plastic jerk baits for sure right now. Great bait & great info. I’m like you Hank, I love the anti reverse switch on my spin reels.
#100percentwatchsquad
I wish they'd make it in a 4".
Great bait, thanks for sharing Hank
