  1. They should now have all the entry fee money from their sponsors now in their pocket because they don't need it to spend on entry and everyone is now not in the hole to start the year

  2. I think it clearly got to expensive not only for the anglers but for the companies etc. things are moving quick in bass fishing and with the cost of a boat etc. there is no sustainability there for the average consumer or fisherman just my opinion. I like my fishing kayak and I’ll keep it at that.

  3. I like your videos
But IMO every place that holds a event
    Is hurt by the event
I as a standard fisherman that go's out fishing to enjoy fishing
Has to deal with the pressured fish
As way to many people with normal fishing skills
Think that the only way they can catch fish is to pound the water with casts
I fish at a slower pace , looking to enjoy fishing
And I catch fish by not fishing the next 3 spots
But by slowing down and placing a different lure back into spots 2 or 3 times

  4. BFD! since ffs took away skill, ability, and experience i no longer fish the opens or watch the elites. There will just be a bunch of guys no one cares to watch, but that has already happened!

  5. This sounds like a blog from the WNBA. "We don't make the money the players in the NBA do". Nevermind the fact that no one watches anymore. People with jobs who only get to fish on weekends when not working are tired of hearing from "Elite" tournament fishermen like you that push the idea we should get out of your way when you want to fish the spot we happen to be on or when you complain about your coangler or even that you perfer that there weren't coanglers as you stated in past post. You attack the biggest sponsors of your sport, the electronics brands. They should just pull their money out of the "Elite" series and see how well you do. They're getting way more exposure through fishermen with youtube channels anyway. They don't need you to get their products into public view. Maybe you could talk the tackle companies into charging the "common man" fisherman double for our baits so they can funnel it to you so you won't have to work . Just like the WNBA, you'll not get any sympathy here.

  6. BASS is paying out more money than ever before, while eliminating 45k of debt from every elite pro.

Are you saying they need to bring back entry fees so guys can take the money of the bottom finishers of the elites?

Can’t have it both ways, it’s a niche sport and the money has to come from somewhere.

  7. Randy, I’m on the jerkbait struggle. Seems like no matter what I do, I can’t get on a good bite. I’ve tried many colors and sizes of the vision110 lineup. I fish on Norris Lake in Tennessee, fairly clear highland reservoir with all 3 species. Is it possible that some lakes just don’t have a good jerkbait bite? I’ve never been able to catch a limit on a jerkbait. Help. Only ones I’ve not tried is the plus 2.

  8. What do u expect? They need to pay all the way down to 100th lol. A real sport the only ppl that get a trophy is number 1. They dont give trophies down to 40 places lol. Nothing is ever good for you. Can never admit when guys win without scoping, cant admit when a flat brimmer is killing em froggin and flipping etc, never talk about events that scope doesnt play etc.

  9. Pretty obvious it’s not a Pro sport! Sadly I feel it’ll only get worse! The sport is simply diluted . Not enough industry $$$ to go around. It obviously is going to the point that if you don’t have the independent wealth or crazy good sponsorship then it’s a horrible choice to be a “Pro” angler. Damn I miss the old days before dilution!

  10. Clearly said this is a business model! If they go belly up there is no more Bass simple as that. They are trying to advance what has been the same for 50yrs and people still wanna gripe!

  11. Bassmaster is boring as shit. That tour is going down the tubes. Anybody with any smarts realizes they’re not doing a damn thing for the anglers taking away entry fees the payouts cancel that out! I miss the 90s bassmaster, was the best

  12. Even if the sponsors give the guys $5k for each event, as if they were paying their entry fee, they would still come up $5k short if they don't finish in (probably) top 10 or so. Nuts.
The total payout in 2025 will be about $331k. In 2024 the tournament at Toledo bend paid about $730k. Big difference!

  13. Wow! Bass fisherman are worse than NFL players. Half the people bitch in one direction and the other half bitch in the other. The only common denominator is “give, give, give. Do what we say because we know better than all everyone else” Worse than a frickin sewing circle. Does anyone think the bean counters didnt approach this from all angles before a decision was made?
