I'll share a myth with you. Paying 18.00 to 20.00 for a freakin jerkbait to catch a bass. Here's one that's not a myth. Go to Temu, buy you a 1.50 jerkbait and I promise you, you will catch those very same bass.

I guess, for me, It would be realizing how many fish you're around, but they're not biting, whether it be they don't want the lure you're using or they're just inactive.

A lot of my thinking over the years mirrors what you said.. and since it was against "conventional" traditional thinking.. its nice to hear.
These seasonal migrations.. its the food migrating. Not the predators. Negating the spawn, of course. If they move, they are going where they can be most comfortable and still eat. If they are holding to structure or cover, they are thete because it gives them an advantage to get food.
I am on a gizzard shad only reservior at the moment as a home lake. The patterns there are DRASTICALLY different than what I fished growing up. The reality is the fish are still there… they just behave differently because of the shad patterns. Learn the bait… find the fish.
