Bass Fishing With Wacky Rigs and Texas Rigs (Plastic Worms & Swimbait)

Bass fishing with wacky rigs and Texas rigs can both produce bass from the bank. Plastic worms and swimbaits are a couple of productive soft plastics. The worms work well on both Texas Rigs and Wacky Rigs. The plastic swimbait works better on a Texas Rig, but I have heard of people wacky rigging them as well. Today I catch three bass, one on each rig. The first bass is caught on a wacky rigged worm. The second and third are caught on Texas Rigs. Try these rigs if you are bank fishing for bass, you just might catch a few in an hour, like me. #fishing #bass

  1. Hi Alex! im back after my months long hiatus from YouTube. work has been crazy busy which has been a good thing. but up here in Illinois the weather has been on and off and nothing is going well. between working longer and the weather being off I haven't been able to fish too much. sort of depressing actually. but im hoping things will turn around soon on all ends. and I will gladly be returning to your videos 🙂

  2. This is awesome! Im very new to bass fishing and my first try was a 5 inch worm. I was having problems setting the hook with a Texas rig. Got tons of bites just couldn’t seem to set the hook and reel it in. Anything I can change?

  3. Another great video, when the bite is tough, a Wacky Rig always comes through for me. It was the first rig I ever learned to fish and its remained essential in the late summer early winter times.

  4. Haven't tied a wacky rig yet this year, been trying the drop shot. Everyone claims it's a technique one should know but so far it hasn't caught a fish. It's too hard to work out in place without pulling it up the bank, I think it's a vertical presentation to be worked from a boat not the bank.
