Today I am bass fishing with a baitcaster from 1984! This Quantum 1310 MG by Zebco is over 35 years old! I catch two largemouth bass using this old baitcaster. The first bass is caught in the morning on a Texas Rig plastic worm. The second bass is caught in the evening on a wacky rig plastic worm. For being over 35 years old, this baitcast reel is really holding up well. Its casts well, and had no problem reeling in the fish today. If you find one of these old Quantum 1310 baitcasters from 1984 out there, it just might be worth a try. #bassfishing #baitcaster

I still have mine.. it's my favorite reel.. Just caught 3 muskies with it last weekend 38" 42" and a 46"
I have that same reel but for some reason when I push the cast button it won't release the line. I have adjusted the break on the left from low to high and it still won't release the line to cast. It's my first bait caster so I have no idea what could be wrong with it.
Hello my friend happy fishing Wednesday i love your quantum bait caster reel this bait caster reel is one year before I was born I wish I had a old bait caster reel 馃憤馃徏 you should do a collaboration fishing video with @retrobassin

There's some vintage casting reels available in my area, always wondered if they would be worth it.

I look forward to your videos. My 1982 Shimano Bantam 100 still works like a champ, along with the matching pistol grip Shimano rod.
she鈥檚 old but she is definitely reliable 馃槑馃馃徎
I kind of like those vintage reels. The only major difference I've found with them is the lower gear ratio. Most of those older reels are 1:1 or 2:1. I think they make reels nowadays with as high as 12:1!
Man that old reel cast so smooth nice.
This fish are very nice
"I'm over the tree"…. That's REALISTIC!!!….. "It's a little bit tricky right now, so I'm happy to be catching anything"….. Again REALISTIC!!! This is why I enjoy your channel so much. Thank you!!! KiR!!!

I love that old reel, I had one and have used it many times, but it was stolen from the bed of my truck after a pretty successful day. Awesome video Alex, always look forward to your content. KIR my friend!

That sky in the background after the 2nd catch was simply beautiful! Looks like a cool old school combo. Keep it realistic 馃馃馃挭
That 鈥榮 true vintage gear. Never heard of the Berkley Pulse rod
My dad still uses his baitcaster from BPS from 1983. It still works fine and he has never taken it apart and cleaned and oiled it. It had been in five different garages as they upgraded houses and lived on a farm.
Old but sweet reel
Love the vids man, keep it up
