I headed up to Lake Don Pedro for some bass fishing launching from the Moccasin Creek ramp. The orange pontoons are still up, blocking access to the main lake for boats due to debris cleanup work. Kayaks can easily get past the pontoons, which I did and headed towards Woods Creek. I launched around 5:30 AM and fished until 2 PM. I had the lake to myself for most of the day. It was another very hot day here, topping out at about 106. I ended the day with about 6 fish, including one Largemouth that went 5.5 lbs – unfortunately, I came to know later that my camera had shut down probably due to the heat – so technically, I caught a 5.5 lb fish story.
