In part 2 we put let the Mercury 250 ProXS stretch her legs and push the Allison up and down the lake, checking the speed and ride of the XB 21. This is the 35th video in the Great Bass Boat Search of 2021 where we spend a day in different bass boats as I try to decide what I’m going to fish out of going forward. This video series overall is titled Before You Buy a Bass Boat Watch this, this is the 15th boat in the series where we walk through spending the day in a bunch of different bass boat models through the fall of 2020 and into 2021 looking for my next boat. If you didn’t see the first 30 videos you can go back and watch them first, (reviewed Bass Cat Puma Hybrid, a Charger 210 Elite, a Ranger 521C & 520L and a Caymas CX21 , a Vexus VX20 a Bullet 21 SDC, a Phoenix 921 ProXP, a Blazer 650 Pro Tour, a Phoenix 21 PHX, a Skeeter FXR, a Bass Cat Lynx and the Falcon F215).

In video 3 we grade the boat as we have with all the others, scoring all for fishability, Performance, Amenities, Fit & Finish and then a 5th catch all that includes feedback from friends that own them, trailer, options, feedback from fiberglass shops in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas asking them what they see as the best 3 boats, based upon construction, currently being built (since they see how we beat them up). And then we ask them which they see the most non-impact damage to the hulls with (least well built). Then for tournament anglers we include a 6th 20 point category looking to see who has the best contingency prize package available.

  1. You said in the beginning you no it’s not the boat that you bought and it’s not the boat for you, so I don’t think that you could give it a honest review and you definitely need to learn to drive it not an unbiased review

  2. So we have determined:

You can’t tell the difference in plastic and fiberglass (textured fiberglass interior).

You have minimal experience driving a high performance hull.

Driver ability is a huge factor in rough water capability.

The dealer that allowed you to do this review should have educated you on the Allison brand before allowing your cameras to turn on and they should have never allowed a seat from 1970 to be allowed in the boat.

Your reviews are biased based on the BCB deal already in play.

  3. You mentioned there are not many amenities, again you weren't shown the boat so you didn't know what amenities were present lol… Call Fast bass Marine and ask that specific question and you will get it answered. Many amenities on this boat, 1. Docking or Running Head Lamps, 2. 5 gal Trash receptacle 3. Bow handle (simple yet an amazing tool. 4. Quit stash storage cavities on port and starboard, You can store tool, extra gear, rope, first aid kits, live well weighing kits,, 5Compartment lighting, Courtesy lighting , live well lighting, 6 2 rear stern light receptacle one can be used tournament morning and the other can be for your GO Pro Pole (both are hot leads), 7.Shifter custom w/ security button for Merc. Meaning the engine wont start if accessed. 8.The raised textured internal cap area, extremely durable hides and protects against scratches. 9.The over sized live well drain for quick rinsing and draining (really nice), 10. Port side rod tubes cavities on the starboard side (allowing rods to be stored further back towards the drivers console and away from your stepping area. 11. Allison and had its trolling motor mount set length waves since the 80s not only helps with balance it makes it easier to deploy (significantly), 12. Notice all the deck lids? all flush mounted locks / that can be opened with one figure. No twist or turn and fight to align locks. When you shut the lids they latch and lock automatically. So there is 11 amenities you didn't know about or decided not to mention. One thing it was clear (evident) early on in these reviews you had already made a deal the factory of your boat. Obvious. And thats ok it just how you do things.

  4. I fully dis agree with regarding the ride in rough chop is superior but first you have learn how to drive the hull sir. It does appear you changed your statement regarding rough water ride on the way back. I have driven in many hulls and rough chop, this hull is amazing in rough chop. but again from the video it is clear you didn't have enough seated time . Of course that is which all things considered like the boat was rigged correctly. You mention the possible toilet conversion but if you read at the base of the lid you will see large label that reads " trash receptacle." This was brilliant, especially for tournament guys who have a carpet full of line and old plastics on the floor. Its also awesome for holding ice . So the toilet option is just that -an option. People with special needs, maybe our veterans with bag issues so on. Or you lady.

  5. …this review is truly unfortunate . The drive clearly needs significantly more seating time. You can drive that boat with one had at 70 and no hands at 40/50. I am sure if he had more seating time he would improve. The Allison hulls are very very different and very versatile ! I have ran many hulls champions, Gambler, Legend, Bullet ss, Ranger21, Skeeter I-class….. and so on…all had something to offer but if you are talking multiple categories of true performance., ti goes to the xb21 hands down.

  6. Have to disagree sir. That is indeed the best riding bass hull on the market. What your describing is due to it not having the correct lower unit and your own seat.time in the rig. That's to be expected though.

  7. It is the best riding boat ever, you just don’t know how to drive an Allison on the pad and use the trim. Get it up on top and let it eat. I’ve driven Allison’s for decades.

  8. You should have visited the Allison factory in Tennessee. They will customize their boats for you. You want more cleats or grab handles or even a dual console, they’ll do it for you. They are also 100% hand laid, no chopper guns at all in the building.

  9. Hey Ken hiw are first of all thanks for all the vids love em second tell the truth did that boat scare you a little cause I'll be honest I would drive that boat 76 looks like a boat that not for the faint of heart also I know why they put a toilet seat in there it scares the crap out of you lol 😉

  10. I learned those rear folded seats grab a lot of air and therefore contribute considerable drag. Dropping them off the pedestal and turning it to face the rear will help a lot.

  11. Man I would really like to see a video of your opinion on the ride of a fiberglass boat versus aluminum. I know the fiberglass is gonna do better. I’m just curious how Close of a ride that x21 express is to a fiberglass.

  12. Every compartment lid squeaked when you stepped on it,all that cheap looking plastic trim, fit and finish looked terrible for a 90k boat, trailer looked cheap to no thanks, you can keep those go fast boats man

  13. The inner lining wearing just fine in my Allison. I have had a Bullet and this takes a little more seat time to optimize speed. I have lithium batteries and they are in the back. Runs rough water the best of any boat I've had and I have had a number of Skeeters, Tritons, Ouachita, Terry ABF, Rustler, Bumblebees, Venture.
