  1. Don't use the original 11 cm floating Rapala, it's floating and when you stop moving it it quickly rises to the surface. What would be the best time of year to use it?

  2. Anyone else spend time watching the background in these videos? My take away from this whole thing comes down to sponsors and legends. Millertech, Finn, Clemon's boats. and Little Tykes. Tyler, you need to run a Little tykes challenge video now…

  3. Great video! People don't often think about how hard you work the rod impacting the bite. Try braid to leader in the warmer weather if you haven't yet. It makes the bait more responsive and lets you get a little more erratic action that I find the prefer in warm water. Definitely like straight flouro and softer snaps in cold water as you mentioned.

  4. I was literally editing a video about Jerkbaiting and you literally covered everything I said down to the size rod. 😠 stop getting in my brain Tyler. We do have extremely relatable methods for just about everything. But there’s times and places for a spinning rod. And you can play them all day on a spinning rod, your land ratio is probably triple or more. So many times because I don’t have a solid drag system when they jump and pull at a long cast a baitcaster wil 50% of the time pull the hooks away while the drag on a spinning reel would peel when they jump on a long cast and there’s no force being put on the bait. I have a couple videos of using a 7’0 MLF Tatula spinning rod with a lucky craft pointer sp78 and catching them almost consecutively in the middle of this creek mouth that enters the main lake (about 12ft) and they were coming up and eating it on the crank down 9/10. Also 50degree water temps in NY about a month after I melt. April 20_may 1st i terrorized that lake catching bigger size smallmouth that anyone believe to be in this little lake, a lot of 18”-19” 3.5-4+ lbers in a glorified pond.

  5. Good tips. I hate the jerkbait, have never really gotten into it – there's just a lot of options for depth, size, sinking, floating, rising etc. Most bodies I fish around me are <6ft in most spots too. Only part I liked on this video was using a shorter rod lol (I typically fish 6'6" from a yak).

  6. I really like Megabass jerkbaits, but I had 4 110 ten jr's distort on me in the box on a 80 degree day. $80 of useless lures in one day. They need to make some changes to prevent this. I don't know if I will buy any more. I like pro blue day in and day out.

  7. I LOVE a jerk bait!! Thanks for all your content!!! You have helped me learn so much over the last year or so since I specifically fish for spotted bass. @lipthrashinlures makes a great jerk bait
