Top water bite is my favorite!
Great video Richard. Keep em coming.
Picked up a devils horse today on your recommendation. First cast had a bite before the initial ripples even died off LOL.
Thank you sir
I would say it’s dang good since I caught a pike first time using it! My cousin had one that cost the same price I paid, but for one. And didn’t catch anything. I say it’s a winner!
Imagine Plato hearing this modern guy say “….we had a “bad” front come over last nite….”

Great video bud!!!
A clear zara puppy walking across the water will even get a carp to bite. My favorite lure of all time!
I change the hooks on my puppies and on the tiny torpedoes as well. They sit lower but the hooks don't straighten out as bad.
Thank you Richard, I much appreciate your videos and your testimony.
Good advice on setting the hook. Setting the hook on top water is very similar to setting the hook on a rubber worm. Hesitate or you will miss them.
Thank you for all you do Richard
you're the best
Thank you
Great videos! Keep up the excellent work!
Wanted to specially say thanks for showing how to exactly work and use these baits, ive gotten sick of other youtubers fishin but dont show how to work or actually use them. Now i see how to correct when i use them next. Thank you so much. Im definetly
Will subscribe
Always fish a Whopper Plopper all the way to the boat. Caught some of my best fish right at the boat.
Thanks for the lessons Gene
You going to give yourself a headache if you don't stop!!!
Love seeing him take the slack up!!!!
Bob Ross of fishing…
Very good demonstration. You covered the whole deal. Thanks Gene.
Thanks to this video I went to buy me a whopper plopper and caught my first bass!!! I’m a beginner, love your videos they’re very informative and fun to watch
Never had any luck with the whopper plopper , but the hoola plopper caught my PB with that
"Oh boy, you messed up when you hit the whopper plopper, didn't you?" LOL
I see there are 34 people that are extremely jealous of Richard’s knowledge.
Best fishing channel I’ve found yet.
Do you ever fish buzz baits?
Like the way you explain how to fish.God bless …
My first video to watch of you. I loved it. All your great saying I was laughing so hard.
Wulla Popper & Big Daddy Fip Tail will mopp em up.
The Bass videos are my favorite
Love the torpedo, too. But my wife does not like treble hooks for some obvious reasons. Do you have any top water single hook favorites? My wife thanks you.
Question, I fish a creek similar to this and a river. Savannah River. Both have really swift water. Do you retrieve drown stream? Or does it matter. Btw me and my 6yr daughter watch your videos before bedtime! Per her request!!
Niceeee Fishing
Really like your videos and fishing tips keep up the good work.
And WOO……
NEXT THING I'M DOING I'M LOOKING UP WHOPER PLOPER!!!
Cant fish those without a leader up here in Wisconsin. Northerns or Muskie will cut your line instantly
Richard I have lost more fish using top water lures than anything else, and it's exactly like you said..hesitate before you pop. It's hard to do because you see it and react. Great video keep them coming!!
I watched others talk about color choices. "When clouds block sun darker colors like pink or black the fish see those colors better".
Do you like fishing with frogs? Do you have a video?
I love how gently and respectfully he handles and releases fish, after all they are a living creature. If you're not going to eat it be respectful
Fish have light bellies and dark backs, because dark is camouflaged looking down against the deep, and light is camoed looking up against the bright surface. That’s why I like white braid with black topwater baits, even at night. The braid is camoed, and the bait is reverse camoed.
I've watched about 9or10 of your videos do you ever keep a fish?
