I'm no tree guy but if the leaves are small & thin & tannish colored & very plentiful I guess they are maple. They get almost like a starter or temporary leaves in early spring then shed them & then later spring they get their familiar 5 point leaves. Not sure all maple types do but I got 2 in my backyard that do that.
Jim it is mainly oaks that hold onto their dead leaves until the new buds push them off. Bring in a leaf and show us what it looks like. Good luck on day 2.
Jeez, a 20 lb bag of fish and a snazzy new camper door. What more could a guy want?…a 30lb bag , maybe? Good luck out there on day #2, …and, yeah, I have those trees here in Ontario, too.
I told you that would not be in the top 30, let alone top 10. Good catch today for you. Tomorrow you will unfortunately drop below 50. Too Too many excuses…. Keep trying. Statistics are against you.
I'll take a 20 plus pound sack every day… good job Yes you were 44th at Lake Fork after day one too. If I start loosing fish I take pliers and in the bend of the hook I bend the point down just a little, works on about every type of hook.
Pin oaks push off their leaves in the spring. Horrible trees.
I noticed they started flowing water out the damn, and sorry about today's results
